In case you missed it, Brewsvegas was announced this week. We are stoked to be sending Black Hops beer to 4 events.
Beer for breakfast, yes please.
Sunday 22 March – Hooha Bar/Beerkary present Flavours of Tamborine
We are stoked to return to the scene of the crime (our launch), to offer a one off keg of our Quandong liqueur farmhouse red ale to kick off Brewsvegas in style! Plus, because it’s breakfast time, the crew from Beerkary will be there serving delicious baked treats (made from beer of course). On top of that, Fortitude and Beard & Brau will be there with delicious creations, fresh from the mountain.
Our beer is a one off, brewed especially for this event. It’s a Quandong liqueur farmhouse red ale. We’ve named it Beacon St after we visited Michael up at his famous Mt Tamborine Distillery (on Beacon Street) a few months ago to “taste test” some of his gold medal winning distilled treats.
It’s a free event on Sunday morning after the launch party (harden up). Here are some more details.
Want to know what it takes to open a brewery?
Monday 23 – Hoo Ha Bar present Amateur Hour
If you are interested in what’s involved in starting a brewery from first brew to launch, this event is for you. We will be there with Ben from Beans Brewing / Rocks Brewing, Tim from Brewtal Brewers / The Scratch and Wade from the soon to be open 4 Hearts Brewpub in Ipswich.
We’ll be bringing along our Beach House Pale. A subtle hoppy pale ale with the classic saison flavour.
It’s $25, Monday 6pm. You can grab tickets here.
13 taps, 13 local brewers, may the best win
Thursday 26 – Tomahawk Bar present Well Tapped
This promises to be a fun night. 13 different beers for you to try, vote for your favorite (i.e ours) and see who comes out on top. We’ll be offering up our Code Red (hoppy red) or our ABC Bomb (Black IPA) on the day. We’ll be providing updates on our Facebook page, closer to the date.
It’s a free event, on Thursday 26 Feb at 6pm, more details here.
Meet the next wave of Queensland craft brewers
Friday 27 – Newstead Brewing present Gypsies, Tramps & Thieves
Yes we don’t have our own brewery – yet. But Gypsy brewers are friendly, and fun to hang around (if you ignore the cabbage smell). Join us, with Tim from Brewtal, Gavin from Croft Brewing, and Dave Clarke from Toybox.
We’ll be bringing along either our Black IPA or Hoppy red (still undecided). We’ll be providing updates on our Facebook page, closer to the date.
It’s a free event, starting at 4pm, Friday 27 Feb. There are more details here.
