Pale Ale – 4.8%
$20.50 – $65.00
Pale Ale • ABV: 4.8% • Core Range
Defined by a balance of pale malted barley and tropical hop aromas, our Pale Ale is light in colour but big in flavour. But don’t overthink it. It is what it says on the tin, a Pale Ale, the Black Hops beer for every occasion.
ORIGINS
Our Pale Ale came to life over a long period of time. One of the first beers we ever brewed was a beer called Gold Coast Pale Ale, a fairly easy drinking Aussie style Pale Ale. When we first contract brewed it at a reasonable size, we accidentally put in twice the amount of hops and the beer was a totally different flavour profile, very heavy on fruity hop aroma but also super high on bitterness. We re-named it Bitter Fun and that became our Pale Ale for a while. However our flagship beer was a saison called Beach House. In the 2017 GABS Hottest 100 Beach House failed to make the list which was disappointing and led us to reconsider if a saison was the right beer to have as our go-to beer. With the first run of contract canning available to us, we started the process of designing our first beer can and instead of canning Beach House we decided to release a brand new beer as our first can simply called Pale Ale. This was the style of beer people wanted and our first version took off in cans to the point where our business began to grow rapidly. It is now distributed nation wide and has been our best selling beer ever since.
